Roade Primary School is situated in the village of Roade, south of Northampton. The school was originally built in 1876. More modern additions in the form of a hall, library, offices and five further classrooms were built during the 1960s. The school benefits from a rural setting and has attractive grounds.

The original buildings date back to 1956 but with a continuing increase in the school's population following the introduction of comprehensive education in 1975 there have been a series of major building programmes, each of which has provided an impressive range of facilities.
The school is proud to hold a number of Quality Marks which indicate the quality of the schools provision against a number of nationally recognised criteria. These include Sport England's Sportsmark, Healthy Schools Award, Eco-Schools Award (Bronze), Active Citizens Award (Bronze) and Investor in People.
